While I may not live in Australia, I do have friends and family who stay there. So quick disclaimer: What I write is totally based on what I have been told and I cannot confirm nor deny.

Coming from a country where things aren't the way they should be, you then get to this amazing country where there's crazy light everywhere and people act like the humans we are supposed to be, all organized and clean all tend to have a wonderful effect. Let's face it, “anywhere is better than here is the mentality some the Nigerians have when it comes​ to staying outside the country”. If you are studying and you don't need to look for a job to sustain you then you don't have a problem but if you have any reason to look for a job then you have entered a new world altogether. There may be odd jobs here and there for you to get by but when you want something steady they do have a very strict process. It's somewhat a laid back country who still have some of their values intact and as such you may want to be very careful lest you offend someone unintentionally because they can clam up faster than they open up to a colored person.
